Sure, I mean (5!:2).  I have my laptop(s) configuration display set to multiple 
selections with the linear and box representations checked and I also have the 
box characters set to Linedraw, otherwise I would find it distracting as well.  
I use the linear and parenthesis representations in my phone (which often makes 
my commuting more interesting).

You mean 5!:2?  Interesting.  Except for very complex cases, I find it
distracting.  I prefer linear rep, and have 9!:2]5 set in my profile.
