I've diverted from trying to invent bowling scoring to working
through Clifford Reiter's book. Very fun.
In trying some of the examples, I got errors trying to write files
with the image3 library. The messages look like this:
|domain error: cd
| 'mem_to_png + i *c i i i i i i i'zjm(y;addr),(;/1 0
2{($m),1),((>:x);paddr;((#@(p"_))^:*paddr))
The error code is 1 0, which apparently means file not found. I dug
as deeply as I'm able to with my skills and have ascertained that
the file names look correct. I even put a file there to use, even
though it seems clear that the program is trying to create it. Tried
different combinations of / and \ in the file name, etc.
My twitter help advises that this message may mean that the DLL is
not compatible with my version or my OS. This is entirely possible,
as I'm on Win 7-64 bit and the DLL is dated 2007. :)
I was kindly offered the source so that I could build the file
myself, but that's out of scope for what I'm up to. I'll try to work
around it.
At the same time, I have no right to ask, but if someone is in the
position of being able to easily build that DLL (and the others from
the book), I'd be grateful and it would make a very nice book more
useful to others.
Thanks,
Ron Jeffries

And thirdly, the Code is more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules.
