Thank you, David and Eric. I'm using Windows 7 32 bit and Excel 2007. I have administrator rights ascribed to my user name, so I don't think there is anything more I can do. David, you mentioned 'When you see cmd.exe show up at the top of the search window, right-click it and select "Run as administrator"'. Right clicking doesn't have any effect when I do it as you suggest.
