It would be a very useful addition. I suspected it was something that gtk could do fairly easily.
Bjorn has commented that he too uses the gtk editor for a range of tasks. It would even better still if there was a user setable range of file types for saving .ijs .ijt .R .txt However getting word wrap is the first key to a range of wider uses in J and in preparing materials for use with J.
