After some searching for materials on learning category theory without having significant background in pure mathematics, I found an interesting comment <http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3032233> about why you shouldn't (and some good debate after).
If you want to continue anyway, I found this wikibook<http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Haskell/Category_theory> to be quite useful for myself for understanding how Haskell incorporates category theory concepts (and good reading for anyone interested in similar ideas in J). I think it's a bit too short but it gives a good quick overview for anyone who wants to understand categories in math, Haskell, or both. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
