Hi, I was recently in need to install Invenio on a bare SLC5 machine. Daunting perspective... I discovered the Quattor profile, but quickly gave up after skimming through the installation instructions (so complex, they cannot be serious!)
But Victor's build script saved my day! Installing all dependencies and even optional software, I got just two errors but worked around them. I haven't used the build.sh, but this was great help on itself. It takes packages and installs them with easy_install, which may not be the preferred method for CERN nodes but fine for me. I like easy_install much more than RPM. We should really create some sommunity github for Invenio goodies where we could keep things like that? It may not be useful for general public, but it would be too bite to loose that work! What do you think? Cheers, Roman
