Debian GNU/Linux is our example OS, hence Invenio comes with a built-in installation recipe for it. Moreover, Debian includes a vast majority of pre-requisites as native OS packages, so people have to compile manually only two (optional) packages if they are interested: <http://invenio-software.org/wiki/Installation/InvenioOnDebian> Considering that installing Invenio pre-requisites on Debian takes only two or three apt-get one-liners, why would you prefer easy_install over these one liners? Would you get the same security updates with easy_install as with OS packages, for example? :) (Having spoken about different personal preferences in my previous email, I'm genuinely curious as to why would you prefer easy_install over taking advantage of the ultra rich native packaging system of Debian, which is one of its strong selling points...)
