Yes, I think the problem is mostly jabber.org's poor provisioning. The service is much more readily available than it used to be, but sometimes goes out for very short intervals - 'flapping'. Combined with the display of logs on join, it gives a time-warp effect where you keep seeing the log for the last day or so, printed over and over again.
