There is no direct support for authority records out of the box. We do two things though: (1) information about some entities such as institutes or conference proceedings live as independent MARC records in an independent collection, and these records can then be linked to from other records; (2) we have a BibKnowledge module that provides various types of knowledge base information storage (KBA/authority, KBR/reference, KBT/taxonomy, KBD/dynamic). Your use case would be more for the technique #1, which is very close to, but not exactly equal to, MARC authority records. So maybe we can take your use case to turn the technique #1 into real MARC authority handling. Do you have some existing authority records already? Best regards -- Tibor Simko
