Good morning everyone,

I was wondering how wise it would be to use mysql 5.5 (and mysqldb 1.2.3) with invenio 1.1 in a production machine. It the minimum recommended mysql version for many people, it has been tested and seems mature enough to be deployed. However, in the INSTALL file, only versions 5.0 and 4.1 are mentioned to be 'supported'. Furthermore, I remember seeing some tickets with locking and DDL issues (which were not that dangerous after all), so I was wondering if the combination of Invenio and mysql 5.5 is a wise choice... Is there an installation that you know of at CERN (or elsewhere) that uses this configuration?

Kind regards,
Theodoros Theodoropoulos
