This has now been handled, and an r2 is scheduled for Dec 26. Yay! Since SRM seems to be functional again, I think we should proceed with getting an etch 2.6.23 going. I don't think we should postpone for 2.6.24's availability (esp since we don't know what new issues it may bring, and sid availability is a decided prerequisite). As for the scheduler issue(s), I'm not sure what they are, or if they are already resolved by fixes I've seen being brought in my 2.6.23.y.
