Yep, starting this discussion was the purpose of my message :) If using p-u gives us no reasonable way to back out, then its not the right answer. p-u does have the benefits of being an obvious place for getting autobuilt on all relevant archs and for testers to access bits. (And its also obviously a convenient place to release from). But again, if it means we can't back out, then we should find another place for now.
