As promised included some cleaned up code form our system. Note that we basically need two functions to accomplish this: bfe_modifythisrecord.py adds the link to the records detailed page based upon the role of the currently logged on user. We have Editors and Staff. The former are allowed to edit each record in their institutes private collection, the latter is library staff, so they are basically allowed to edit everything. This get's checked in this bfe. So if you're not the original submitter you may gain special rights her. Note that we model this by group memberships for practical reasons. (Some user owns the groups and moderates them. Not necessarily someone with su-rights.) Then we need a websubmit function that chechs Is_Submitter_Or_Editor.py and gives access. This replaces the Is_Owner-Fuction delivered with invenio. Note, that I've left also another bfe that uses almost the same technique as modifythisrecord: it is used to send a correction request to library staff.
