Dear Lanxin,
The 'jump to' box on the main CDS page is what we call a portalbox. Each
collection can be customisable by adding portalboxes in various places
of the page (right top, left top, narrow by collection epilog, narrow by
collection prolog, title epilog, title prolog). These are configurable
from the Admin interface of WebSearch (for each collection). So if you
would like to have something similar on the Hope page, you can add a
portal box to the main collection.
More info about portalboxes:
<http://invenio-demo.cern.ch/help/admin/websearch-admin-guide#3.5>
The links to latest Photos and Videos are pointing to the collection
pages. Each collection page will, by default, list the latest additions,
so there is no code to add in order to retrieve latest records, as long
as you have a collection for Photos and one for Videos.
In general, the perform_request_search() function (the high-level API
for retrieving search results) is by default retrieving the results in
'latest first' order.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Ludmila

Dear Invenio team,
I have installed Invenio 1.1.1.
According to IHEP user's requirement, I need to have the function
that list the latest records.
I see that there are links at CERN cds first webpage, which Jump to
'Latest LHC papers' and 'Latest Photos and Videos' .
please see the attached file. I would have the same function.
If I add the similar link at my invenio first page, which .py file
should I modify?
Is it possible for you to provide the code (search & list the latest
records) to me? If yes, I will appreciate.
If no, could you please tell me some clues on searching the latest
records in Mysql db and list them ?
Thank you very much!!
REgards,
Lanxin
