The FFT correct mode works slightly differently than the metadata
correct mode, see the BibUpload Admin Guide.  In order to attach a brand
new file to an existing record, the FFT append mode should be used.  So
yes, your solution (FFT -a) is indeed intended.

What was the error?  Was it descriptive enough?  If not, we should
probably fix it.

(BTW, note that you could also use `bibdocfile' CLI calls in order to
attach your fulltext files, not creating FFT stubs.)

The documentation mentions that the original fields are removed and
replaced by those from the MARCXML file, but we should probably make it
even more obvious by a concrete example in the BibUpload Admin Guide...
