I would go for - Adeos
- Haver Ain't Very Exciting, Really
- Livret du Libre
as elected list. But I must tell that I do not know much about all
these projects apart from their description on their main page.
Adeos looks like an impressive technical achievment, and a complex thing. There is a nice usage of Gna! facilities, with direct links to the news interface, download area (usage of README), etc. Every information is barely more than two clicks away. I like it :). I guess there are ton of questions to ask only to understand the project, and I also guess there's some industry support to uncover here.
Haver as sadly a dummy home page. And an empty CVS. The download area is complete though, deb+tarballs. We should ask for some screenshots. I wonder how it compares to stuff like GnomeMeeting.
Livret du Libre: owned by people from the small fsfe-france comunity :). We could be regarded as a bit egocentric if we started our first interview with them. And it's french-only, not one of our core value (english is more portable :)). Of course I like the project very much.
My short trick to find out projects where there's "something" :
lisa:cvs$ nice du -csm !(*.homepage)|sort -n|tail -n25
10 intense 11 cantus 12 gswebkit 13 bankiz 14 webbase 15 clgestion 15 exitium 15 ordnometer 15 qomics 18 latexfr 18 rwvsndj 21 rachel 25 wormux 27 ngl 32 slune 35 arkhart 36 brillant 39 xmule 43 savane 47 mtptarget 80 adeos 91 rtai 273 underware
I'd suggest 'Wormux' and 'Slune', which are both pretty active and look very nice. Actually, I WANT to install Wormux tonight now that I saw how it evolved :). 'Bankiz' is also cute. Now it just happens that they are all games, maybe the return of the famous 'French touch' :).
