Mayan doomsday scenario 'exploited for cash'

Experts say giant commercial industry has been built around ancient prediction 
that world will end in 2012.

Final preparations are being made around the world for New Year celebrations 
but a different scene is unfolding in Mexico and Honduras.

Doomsday countdown clocks are ticking in those countries where, according to a 
Mayan prediction, the world will end in 2012. 

Some experts believe that the apocalypse scenario is being exploited for 
profit, as about 50 million tourists are expected to visit Mayan sites next 
year.

Adam Raney reports from Mexico City.
