Sejak dikirimnya pelatih2 anti-terorist Amerika yang khusus melatih tentara Phillipina, maka babak belur lah kelompok Abu sayaf ini. Makin hari makin terjepit, pemusnahannya hanyalah masalah waktu saja. Terlalu banyak pengikut Abu Sayaf yang mati terbunuh, mati konyol karena kalah segalanya. Apalagi AlQaeda sudah di blokade sehingga tak mungkin mengirimkan supply-nya baik melalui Indonesia maupun melalui Malaysia. Menyedihkan memang, mimpi Syariat Islam buyar di awang2. Jangankan mendirikan Syariat Islam, untuk makan se-hari2 saja sudah susahnya bukan main, hari ini makan besok puasa, kemudian makan daun2 dihutan, demikianlah, dengan kondisi tubuh yang makin turun kesehatannya, makin mudah mereka tertangkap ataupun tertembak. Tak lagi kuat lari ataupun melarikan diri dari tentara2 pasukan anti-teroris yang sehat walafiat cukup sandang pangan. Mana bisa mereka bertahan!!! Allah juga tak mampu lagi membantunya.
