http://www.antara.co.id/en/seenws/?id=22680 SS Wilson to carry TNI supplies to Lebanon Jakarta (ANTARA News) - SS Wilson, a US warship, that would help the shipment of equipment, logistics and vehicles to Lebanon for the Indonesian military (TNI) in a UN peacekeeping mission in the Mid-eastern country is ready to leave Tanjung Priok port here on Saturday. Built in 1969, SS Wilson had completed loading 52 containers and military vehicles including VAB armoured cars, the TNI Headquarters said in a statement received here on Friday. The ship is expected to arrive in Lebanon on November 24. Six TNI members would join in the trip. The US embassy here meanwhile said that the US transportation assistance demonstrated another example in the new relations between the Indonesian and US military. By the end of November this year a total of 850 Indonesian military personnel grouped in the Garuda XXIII-A contingent would leave for Lebanon to join the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) along with forces from 20 other countries. SS Wilson arrived at the Tanjung Priok port on Thursday and immediately started loading operations. The 185-meter long ship belonging to Sealift,Inc. of Long Island, New York, is only used by the US government.
