Ditahun lima puluhan musik Melayu amat populer di Indonesia, juga film Melayu. Aga jauh dikit... Saya baru-baru ini iseng-iseng baca Lonely Planet Philipina yang saya beli ketika saya pergi ke Filipina menghadiri pertemuan di Los Banyos belasan tahun yang lalu... Banyak kata-kata berbagai suku yang ada di Filipina yang sama dengan kata-kata yang kita pakai di Indonesia (Danau, Ranau, Lanau...) Dokarnya juga ada yang mirip...
