Sunter Agung Tengah, North Jakarta, Wednesday night. "The KPK confiscated US$84,228, S$284,900, ¥20,000 and 12,600 Thai Baht," KPK spokesman Johan Budi SP said Thursday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. Johan added that KPK also confiscated an additional Rp 141 million (US$16,496.05). He said the foreign cash was found in several places in the house. "Some was inside a black bag and some in drawers and envelopes," he added. KPK arrested Syarifuddin, a bankruptcy judge from the Central Jakarta District Court, after he was allegedly caught accepting a Rp 250 million bribe from PT Sky Camping Indonesia (PT SCI) curator Puguh Wirawan. The Rp 250 million is reportedly thought to be related to the company's bankruptcy case, which Syarifuddin was handling. According to Johan, Syarifuddin acknowledged that the Rp 250 million was his money. "He has not yet explained the foreign currency," he said.
