Indonesia is now the world's fourth most populous nation with nearly 240
million people. And the numbers are continuing to surge. At current growth
rates, one in 20 people in the world will be Indonesian by the year 2045.

traffic jams as an ever-expanding population strains existing resources. Fears
for food and water security have sparked new efforts to control birth rates.
