Data recording process of electronic ID card (e-ID card) in West Jakarta until October 9, 2011 has reached 334,749 people. This amount boosts 84,457 people compared to last week which only 250,292 people. In details, Cengkareng Sub-District 52,762 people, Grogol Petamburan 45,606 people, Taman Sari 36,207 people, Kebon Jeruk 40,144 people, Kalideres 34,950 people, Palmerah 33,977 people, and Kembangan Sub-District 32,284 people. “It means, our units in 56 urban villages have recorded 84,457 residents’ data for e-ID card within a week,” stated Head of West Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department, Ahmad Fauzi, Monday (10/10). Nevertheless, the number of residents who have attended e-ID card data recording is still far from total ID card compulsories in West Jakarta which are 1,594,001 people. This happened due to lack of people awareness to conduct data recording in urban village office as well as limited e-ID card equipments. Cengkareng Sub-District is one of sub-districts that have limited e-ID card supported equipment. As a result, there are only 52,762 residents who have been served out of 323,560 ID card compulsories. “There are huge amount of ID card compulsories in Cengkareng Sub-District. But, we try to serve all of them optimally,” he expressed.
