In a statement issued after the weekly Cabinet meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister His Highness, Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the government also called on the Libyan people to unite and preserve the country's territorial integrity. The Libyans should stand behind the National Transitional Council to build a new government founded on justice, equality and respect of people's legitimate rights, the statement added. On a related note, the minister revealed, the Cabinet also noted instructions from HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to transfer 20 Libyans detained and tortured by the former Libyan regime to Kuwaiti hospitals for treatment.
