Regarding my struggles. Being an aspiring GSoC student with very little knowledge, I discovered Prosody by skimming projects. I most likely can't just see the obvious and need to research more about it to actually understand what is going on.
That being said, it isn't obvious to me how to actually use Prosody once it is set up. Documentation is pretty solid regarding installation and configuration, but what then? A section for how to actually use a simple chat room where I can enter it with different accounts and write messages could be neat. For example, I couldn't try out this patch I wrote, I kind of assumed it should be done like this. In comparison, I found it much easier to write a patch for #868, because I could find the documentation about how to use the telnet console and couldtest the changes. But one again, I might be me who missed the info or couldnt formulate the question in due time.
