Thanks Dave, Yes, that seems to be the way to go. I was hoping that there would be something direct out of Protel. (Any Protel company people able to shed some light here?) At least Protel exports well into AutoCAD.
regards, Phil. (good to see a familiar name from the past. Still going well here, business as usual, just not as frantically busy as we were last year.) -----Original Message----- From: Sanders, Dave [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, 13 August 2002 12:45 To: Protel EDA Forum Subject: Re: [PEDA] CALS Compliant output Hi Phil, how are you going?... I believe that AutoCAD has a translator that can convert to / from various CAD formats. More specifically, from AutoCAD Rel.12 to IGES or CALS level I, II, or IV. Since Protel 99SE can produce AutoCAD 12 files, this may be a solution. It was a year or more ago that I was looking at this feature, and things may have changed since then, but try searching for IGES TRANSLATOR at the AutoDesk site Dave Sanders -----Original Message----- From: DUTTON Phil [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2002 11:55 AM To: Protel EDA Forum Subject: [PEDA] CALS Compliant output Hello, Has anyone produced CALS compliant output from Protel? Preferably IGES, possibly IPC-350, IPC-356. Is this in fact possible? Any help is appreciated. thanks, Phil. ************************************************************************ * Tracking #: 221DA0FBEFDF9844AA55B86EFF1392809D386873 * ************************************************************************ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
