In the CAM manager, gerber setup, advanced, there's "use software arcs". 
This check-box would be better labelled "don't screw up arcs". I don't know iif 
the gerber contains arcs, or a collection of really small tracks when this is 
checked, but it does at least do what you expect, and the gerbers are good... 
I've not turned it off since I discovered it. Naturally, it defaults to off...
It may well be that the gerbers are OK, but the gerber plotter and viewer are 
wrong - I didn't investigate further, once I stopped the symptoms. 

Hope that helps. (I needed it to solve inside-out arcs, but odds on, it'll get rid 
of your problems too)
