Yes it does work Len. Output however is rather fussy with respect to ACAD version number you select. The version that works best for me is ACAD-10. This one appears to be the most stable as an output and rarely causes compatibility problems when imported into quality apps.
I have similar problems with versions when importing. A few apps like Solid Works will give you export version control and some experiments will usually yield the desired result - successful import.
