Do you have virus checking on? I have an ongoing thing with our IT department because they want viruscan to check INI files and Protel hits INI files hard so the viruscan slows it to a crawl.
Just a thought that it may be a similar issue since I believe I read you said it was opening and closing the file for every line written (are you saving in ascii then?). Robert D.
