In protelDXP schematic design mode, there is a menu operation "Edit | Paste Array". After the operation, DXP will open the "Set Paste Array" dialog box. In this box there are two items named "Primary Increment" and "Secondary Increment". I know that "Primary Increment" will decide the increment of the designators of pasted objects. But what is the meaning of "Secondary Increment"? Thank you very much!

Most of the DXP dialogs have a "?" in the top right, click on it and then on the thing you want help on. Most things have reasonable help, some items don't. try it.

The secondary increment is used when placing pins etc to allow you to increment the pin name differently from the pin number. You will often see processors/memory that have rising pin numbers but falling bus indexes:
Pin 10 <-> A31
Pin 11 <-> A30
Pin 12 <-> A29
Pin 13 <-> A28

The primary increment would be set to +1 and the secondary set to -1 then you can just quickly place the pins rather than in P99SE where you have to edit each pin as you can't set an increment to match both pin and name. This was one of the things added based on user requests.

I have not played with it on the Paste Array. What does the help say?
