Hi Robin,
last night's mirror from tug.org into ctan gave us an apparently new
"protext.exe" without deleting what was there.
Nothing has changed on the tug.org side as far as I can see. Maybe your
mirror arguments or software or something changed, and are now expanding
symlinks?
