I just made the following blog post about the need for an Immutable byte string in Java. In the post I mentioned protocol buffers wonderful implementation of this : ByteString. I have been musing about the possibility of moving protobufs ByteString to its own stand alone library. Its so useful and nice. I so wish we could have used it in Fluo.
