Hi again, I was out and about earlier where I could get 3G signal, and so I cleared my iPhone Safari cache (just in case) and went to script.aculo.us. No problems, the logo and bubbles appeared and animated and all of that.
No idea why it's not working for you, but it doesn't appear to be a general iPhone or 3G thing. Works on my iPhone whether I use GPRS, 3G, and WiFi.
