if trying to strip off the everything before the <body> and everything
after </body>
response = response.sub(/^.+<body>/, "").sub(/<\/body>.*$/,"");
but its not doing it.
i even tried something simpler:
response = response.sub(/^.+$/, "")
as a test and it did not work either.
