Yes--making sure that gmp plays well with the other linked in libraries when
you're building it was the issue.  This Solaris box is my first exposure to
64 bits, so I'm learning a bit here as well.  I hope to get the library
searching issues under Solaris resolved early next week.  The Mac OS X issue
regarding makeinfo/Tex is still open--I'm still working on resolving that,
but I don't think it would be anything that would hold up a release.

So is the issue really a matter of making sure that gmp is built
properly then?

Did you get a chance to take a look at any of the other issues?
