Thanks for your anwser.

I narrowed the gap. It worked with the master build from 2013-08-05 but
failed with the master build from 2013-08-06. I used the same routines for
building. I had not the time to rebuild the 2013-08-06 version, but expect
it to have the same issue.

My guess is there is something changed in the tarball between these 2 days
which causes this issue. On this day the new artwork is introduced.
