Hi,
OK I've upgraded the compiler and downloaded lsh-0.9.1 and I still get
bus errors from lshd. :-(

->I definitely don't use egcs. I would recommend either upgrading to
->gcc-2.95.2, or downgrading to the good old stable gcc-2.7.2.3 (if you
->downgrade, you might want to keep egcs for compiling C++).
OK, I upgraded (which is painful on an SS2 with a 340Mb disk!)
[root@lung lsh-0.9.1]# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-unknown-linux-gnu/2.95.2/specs
gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)

->I think I upgraded binutils from the latest version at the canonical
->gnu archives. I don't remember exactly why. I do recall some problems
->with compiling gmp.
OK binutils-2.9.1 is the latest at gnu.org. I'm also just using the
gmp-2.0.2 rpms that came with RedHat.
->I have also upgraded to the latest release of GNU make.
SparcLinux# rpm -q make
make-3.77-6
I see that 3.78.1 is out. I'm loathe to install this too.
Any thoughts?
