I'm afraid I've gone over completely now. See, I started using KDE because I loaded up Ximian's preview of Gnome2 on RH 7.3. But I always have liked Gnome's look much better. So I figured I was waiting for 8.0, at which time I'd go back. Now there's this general mess of 1.2 and 2.0 toolkits, and I've gotten spoiled with KDE's everything-in-one-place configuration. Plus, I like the window manager better.

I'm not much concerned with all the ruckus about which apps appear on the menu, we all do funky things with icons to match what we want to do anyway, right? I've gotten to where I even like Mozilla over Galeon and Evolution, which I thought would NEVER happen. What I like about them is being overshadowed by the font issues and the fact that Mozilla works exactly the same for me on both my home computer and my work computer, running Linux or Windows.

Thanks for the tip, though; I'll make a note of it.

Is there any way to change the metacity window manager theme?

Is there any way to change the fonts in GTK1 apps (e.g. Evolution)?

Not sure, I used to do all mine from gnomecc (but that's now gone)
