It has an audio interface and some mic pres. The command|8 is just a control surface and it cost about half as much as the 003. The command|8 has almost the same controls as the 003. The mc transport plus the mc mix will set you back about $1700 us. This gets most of the controls that you need. It's my understanding that you will need to map a bunch of these controls. I have not had a chance to play with this stuff. I have put my hands on the mc transport and it is nice. The jog wheel is very large and heavy. It's my understanding the the command|8 wheel is not so heavy. HTH --FC
