Why am I not able to export?

I did it, guys!  My first vocal track is finished!  Considering I didn't 
even process the vocals at all other than adding some air reverb, I'm blown 
away!  This sounds incredible!  O, K, I don't have the bright commurcial 
sound yet I've been referring to, but hey, you know what, it sounds better 
than it ever has before, so I'm not gonna complain.  I think if I process 
the vocals it'll sound even better, but here's the bottom line.

Remember we're dealing with Protools MP9, V 9.0 here with the Fast Track 
C400 on 10.6.8 Snowleopard.

When I go to my file menu, export sub menu is dimmed.  So, I can't export to 
an mp3 file.  I don't get it!  Do I have to do something first to make that 
not be dimmed so that I can? export it?

Don't tell me that isn't available in MP's version.  I'd find that really! 
hard to believe.
