Thanks Chuck. I suspect your right. Sometimes just building a good foundation
can make all the difference in the long run.

Hi Poppa,
Best way to make the transition is to do EVERYTHING using VoiceOver from now
on until your chops are up! :)
This will make using PT more pleasurable! ;)
Just a note if you have a specialized pt keyboard and get thrown into a
situation where you can't use it theres no sweat Because any mac keyboard will
do.
If I had a pt keyboard in every station in my studio I would need about 7 of
them!
When i looked in to them several years ago they were a bit steep!!
Talk soon
YMMV

I can understand what you guys are saying. I guess that my thought is that
since I am coming over from PC and completely new to voiceover and PT that
anything with dedacated buttons would possibly help the transition to be a
little less drastic. It seems that with voiceover there is expenincionally more
keys that needed to be pressed over say 10 steps than I am used to. Maybe at
this point it is just looking a little dawnting and I will just have to sourt
through it like everyone else who has made the switch.
Thanks

I have to say, there's nothing really there that can't be done with
standard keyboard shortcuts. Yes, that might sound attractive to people who
aren't used to remembering modifier combinations but, in general, I think
screen reader users are used to such memorization. I don't know, to me it seems
superfluous although it probably looks pretty cool.

Is anyone using the HOTKEY MATRIX – keyboard Control Surface for Pro
Tools? It is a shortcut USB key board made for PT. I am considering it, but am
not sure if anything in voice over will conflict with the short cut functions.
