Your I/O should be recognized immediately. Easiest place to make assignments is 
in the Mix window. Make sure that the Mix window is displaying track 
assignments. You'll find those options under the View menu. Also, of course, 
you'll need to have some tracks in which to make your assignments. Each track 
has an input and output assignment pop-up button.
