I have some really! really! good news!
I have just tried ProTools on the new ML which was released today.
I must say I'm quite impressed. I only see one thing that sort of ish!
broke, and the one thing that did is not at all! a big deal.
When you put a plugin on an insert, you know how most have the librarian
popup menu which is usually by default on Factory Default?
Well, now, those presets do not read, unless you first vo+space on the pop
up menu. So now, it will say librarian pop up menu, regardless what preset
you're on, but again, it's no big deal, just vo+space on it, then it'll read
you the current preset selected, or factory default. Then you can just use
first letter navigation, or vo+up and down like you would normally. Just
know, once you select the preset, beware it's gonna then return to saying
librarian pop up menu, but I promise you, I had a sighted friend of mine
confirm that it indeed did! keep the preset, and all the parameters can
still manually be correctly adjusted so really, honestly, it's not in the
least bit a big deal. So if you wanna make the switch, for now from what I
can thus far see, I say, go for it!
