Hi, One thing that I did when I got my digi 003 was to talk to the sales manager at the store who helpt me order it on line and get it sent to my house. They explained that they could provide some assistive support such as installation help and some troubleshooting. I would suggest if you have a local electronic store that sells pro audio products you contact them and explain what is going on and also tell them you are totally blind and you need sited help with some tasks. They might be able to remote into your computer to take a look at the problem or you could ask if one of the sales people could come out to your location to do some troubleshooting. I would also suggest you call Avid support as they are very good at small things and have helpt me out even when I did not buy a support contract if it is just a small issue as they can remote into your mac with your permition of course and possibley could walk you through some steps to see if they can identify the issues you are having. Hi,
Sighted assistance is good if you have it, unfortunately i don't. The music
vendors i've spoken with are as confused as i over this problem and as i say no
sighties in the vicinity except for home help who a: are very, very pressed for
time and B: don't have the slightest inkling of what i'm talking about.
Please don't get me wrong, i'm not saying this to diss you in any way, i'm just
trying to explain the situation here.

Hi Krister,

Like many of the people who came before you down this path of learning and
discovery, you're probably going to have to have sighted assistance from time
to time to verify the behavior that you're experiencing. While you have that
assistance, you'll have to experiment and learn the behavior that is specific
to your system, your setup, etc. Yes, there are certain things that translate
easily from user to user but, ultimately, everybody's situation can be a little
different and it is precisely there that one little tiny thing can make all the
difference in the world. Don't be discouraged, you can experiment on your own
but it's likely that you will run into obstacles you won't understand without
some sighted confirmation. It's good to go it alone to learn where the problem
areas occur and then get a little help to identify exactly what's going on,
document it and tackle things a little bit at a time.

Best,

Slau

Hi there again.
I was trying to experiment with changing plugin parameters with my Digi003 on
an Arturia Jupiter8v that i just bought. Now i have this strange problem that i
also had with Addictive drums. It seems like the Digi003 is sending midi events
that trigger sounds in my plugins, however if i select another midi out port
from within the instruments view of my instrument track, i can't operate the
plugin from the 003, something that probably is just right, so how on Gods
green earthe do i change and play with values of parameters with the 003
without necessarily sending midi data that trigger sounds on my plugin
instruments?
