I’ve been asked to take on some broadcast production work for a local radio station round here. I am going to use protools to do this work. One question i have is this. I’m going to have to do it without a control surface, they don’t have one ofcourse, and i can’t get my maki down there easily. Now as we know when you want to automate volume fades with out that lovely control surface, you are limited by the speed in which voice over will move the volume fader. so i can get results, but it’s a little difficult to fade and boost the music bed to where you want quickly. Is there any way this type of fader riding could be carried out more actuaritly in protools without a control surface. is there some way of fading from one point to another. or does anyone have any sujestions as to how this could be done.
