Is there a way to change the speed or is there a method for playing back at twice the speed and still hear all tracks? I am using normal pro tools 11. Press Shift-space Bar and the transport will playback at half-speed and any fader moves you make will play back at normal speed when you finish the automation pass. It's not the best but it might help you in this case. Select the track and highlight the location you want to edit. To lower the level of say your vocals, hold down control, shift, and down arrow to the volume you want. Use the same key command with up arrow to raise said vocals. Remember your start and end point must be set correctly hope this helps PS you can undo this function with undo... I am going to use protools to do this work. One question i have is this. I’m going to have to do it without a control surface, they don’t have one ofcourse, and i can’t get my maki down there easily. Now as we know when you want to automate volume fades with out that lovely control surface, you are limited by the speed in which voice over will move the volume fader. so i can get results, but it’s a little difficult to fade and boost the music bed to where you want quickly. Is there any way this type of fader riding could be carried out more actuaritly in protools without a control surface. is there some way of fading from one point to another. or does anyone have any sujestions as to how this could be done. Hi, I know about changing the amount when using the number pad for
moving around but what I am wondering if there is a way to play back at
a faster speed like you get with the controls on the digi 003 but with
all tracks playing? Nick Gawronski
