controling pro tools using apple scripts

Hi, Reading on line about apple script it says that several applications 
can be controled using apple script and looking in the voiceover utility 
there is a check box I checked that says allow voiceover to be controled 
using apple scripts.  Well thinking about this could no hotkeys be made 
using these to tell if tracks are armed or soloed or muted or does pro 
tools have any apple scripting abilities to do things like web page 
audio edits where a user could upload audio files and the script could 
import the files into pro tools do the automation at different times 
then bounce the file and put a link to it on the web server?  I have 
tried researching this but have found nothing.  I would also sometime be 
interested in writing some pro tools plugins that are totally accessible 
to the blind but can't find any developers willing to give me any source 
code but reading on line it looks like all pro tools plugins must have a 
cost and must also be licensed using the ilok is this true? Nick Gawronski
