I've just emailed [email protected] with a short example of how this keeps biting me on the arse, and recommending that such windows be made reachable/switchable using Alt+Tab. Even once you know the behaviour exists, it's unnecessarily unproductive to have to use VO-specific stuff when a standard OS shortcut should work.
If anyone else is bothered, please do the same.
