I wonder if the M-Audio Fast Track C400 has any PT specific features that're
kind a cool. I absolutely swear by the interface, with the exception that
both on Windows, and on the mac, the control panel software isn't
accessible. But, the nice thing is, I had Sweet Water go in and remotely
configure it for me, what incredibly little it needed to be set, and I do
mean little, and now, I just kind a leave it. OK, I may adjust the gain on
the unit itself obviously, or turn on/off phantom power, etc. but that can
all be done from the unit itself, totally accessibly.
Chris.

Never personally did it, but yes you can use Mbox and other Avid hardware
interfaces with other DAWs. Any PT spesific features will obviously not
work, but your normal stuff like inputs and outputs will be working as
normal.

Hi just a little question: If i want to try another DAW and don’t have a
fancy sound card handy, can i use the MBox i got when i bought Pro tools 9
back in the day or is it sorta taylor made for that particular brand of
DAW? If so, has anyone tried using say a Zoom H6 for a sound card? I guess
one shouldn’t do that but my budget doesn’t allow for fancy sound cards
like FocusWrite or such, so that’s why i ask.
