Thanks Nicola, I wish it was more plug and play, well, I may be looking at the 
Apogee line. I like some of their older gear, but don’t have any hands on 
experience. I also like the Universal audio stuff, but I have heard a lot of 
negative reviews about their ADAC converters.

No direct experience, but i know that the Total Mixer is not accessible. To fix 
this you need to create an user presets library in order to recall the scenario 
you need time by time, of course you need someone that help you to do it. 
Consider that  via the total mixer you control almost all the device 
functionalities, such as poering the phantoms on, selecting the inpput and so 
on. Apart this, the Fireface is maybe the best choice in terms of price/quality 
in its range.  Best.
